Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) By Jody Kaye

Brier

If growing up as a quintuplet wasn’t hard enough, wild Brier Cavanaugh also had to wonder what men love more—her or her trust fund?

Brier’s defiant streak kept that hurt away. No one was going to tell her what to do or how to live. She left Kingsbrier unwilling to let the man she’s always refused to acknowledge she loves stop her from pursuing her dreams. Now, despite a fulfilling career as a police officer, Brier knows that something is missing from her life. The more distance she puts between herself and her family, the more empty she is becoming. When circumstances bring her back home, Brier confronts the one person she’s avoided for years.

Drew Newhouse, a professional football player and Brier's childhood sweetheart, has never backed down from a challenge. Brier has pushed him away more than once and Drew has given her space because he knows they've always been meant to be. This time, he's playing for keeps. With the help of the other quints, will Drew be able to win her trust and marry the woman he loves? Can Brier put her heart on the line and finally give Drew the chance they both deserve? Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2)

Brier continues where Eric leaves off, building on the overall story. This is not just a story about Brier but also introducing new characters. I freaking loved Drew, this guy had been in love with Brier since they were teenagers and she was just a bit stubborn. There is a lot of back in forth in this book, but I freaking adored it! Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) In Brier, we pick up where Eric left off. Which is something I like about this series. Yes, you can read them on their own but I really think you get so much more out of them by reading them in order. This one builds on the previous book while setting up the future ones.

Drew knew that he would be with Brier. There was simply no other option for him. He let her leave and pursue her dream, let her push him away. Now he won't. He is not only going to make her see him but make her admit that she loves him and always has. I loved Brier! She refused to admit she loved Drew and then refused to let anyone, including him, stop her from pursuing her dream. She was a little too stubborn at times which makes Drew loving her an even better thing. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This review was originally posted on Wickedly Romance Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) Drew has loved Brier since he was a teenager and he knows that it is the forever kind of love. He shows the selfless and understanding man he is when he doesn’t try to stop Brier from leaving as he only wanted her to be happy. Now that she is back he is determined to convince her that right next to him is where she belongs. One of the best parts of this series is the family aspect that continues to escalate in each story as well as the series. Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) LOVED!!! This is the second book in an interconnected standalone series - it can be read by itself, but I recommend reading Eric first. Each book has its own couple, but every character gets a POV (which I LOVE). Brier and Drew's story was wonderful! I adore this series!
Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) Continuation of the series, it's best to read the books in order.
Still with the terrible typos, I hoped that would improve but it stays pretty consistent.
The soap opera style family drama continues with the characters having jumped forward a few years. The serious communication issues of the romance between the two main characters begins to be resolved and they makes progress on their relationship. Other family members go through different challenges.
I did like that the female main character was strong and independent and that both of the main characters approached the relationship again from a point of stability for each of them.
The author did a really good job writing a story full of teenagers but the second book with a shift forward and sudden maturity felt off for some of them. Motivations and decisions aren't explained clearly in several of the plot lines.
Violence. Sex. Swearing. Themes of celebrity and stalkers, adultery, abuse, grief, substance abuse and drinking, child endangerment and neglect Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2)

This is the second book in the Kingsbrier series. This is when the overall series really picked up for me and by the end I couldn’t put it down and rush ordered the next book Daveigh! Brier is sassy, spicy and a strong female lead. Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) I really enjoyed this second book in the Kingsbrier Series. Brier Cavanaugh ran away from Drew Newhouse once before, but she never stopped loving him. Years have passed, but Drew also is not over Brier. He attempts to win her back, but it's not going to be easy. She's ready to put a fight at every turn.

I loved the writing in this story. The author does a great job with making the readers fall more in love with the Kingsbrier quints. The story just doesn't revolve around Brier, but also her siblings. We see how Eric and Ginny are doing, and we learn more about Adam and Colton's lives. Daveigh's struggle to find love without her siblings' interference plays a role in the men she dates. But the one she really wants doesn't realize that he actually does have a chance with her. I can't wait to read more in this series! Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) Brier is an engaging story about true love, sacrifice, family, and friendship. Famous quintuplets, trust fund babies, no less, each have a story of their own. Brier’s story takes her on a wild Texas ride. Four siblings and a childhood sweetheart are only part of her adventure filled with twists and turns. Described as strong-willed and defiant, Brier also has a heart of gold. And an undeniable love for the man who never gave up on her. Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) I read this book directly after reading Eric for the second time. Jody writes in such a way though, that Brier can still be followed easily without reading Eric, without being repetitive. By the time I finished this book, I felt like the Kingsbrier Cavanaugh clan was part of my family. The story was full of romance and frustration that was palpable. Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2) Loved it. Everything I was hoping for and more from the second book in the Kingsbrier Quintuplets series.
A romantic HEA whilst getting to visit with the rest of the family.
Once again author shows great understanding of the human psyche and how experiences impact of future decisions and actions.
Thoroughly enjoying spending time with this family and can’t wait for more tears love laughter and drama to unfold. Brier (The Kingsbrier Quintuplets #2)
