before i bought the book, i kept thinking, how expensive! after several minutes, i said, what the heck! and i was never sorry. this is a book i'd like to have my children (and if ever, grandchildren) to have. and certainly i will pass it on when i'm gone. as the author said, some photographs have been chosen for te=heir aesthetic beauty, some for their interesting cultural subject matter and some for their historic content. you don't have to be a filipino to like the book--its a universal book tahat speaks to its time.
