just found out about this book and loved it! will definitely read more by this author! Aint Too Proud to Beg Nice, interesting book. I didn't know it was about African American and was confused in the beginning. There are some elements of a diff culture, but once you know the rest it's a lovely love story. Aint Too Proud to Beg Ain’t Too Proud to Beg is an engaging story about sacrificing for love. In her latest installment Chicki Brown sets the groundwork for an interesting plot, intriguing main characters, realistic internal and external dilemmas for those characters, and great locales. She introduces us to Vaughn Breland, a Hollywood actor and self-professed womanizer who had been seriously injured in a car accident in Telluride, Colorado and now bedridden for weeks far away from his playboy lifestyle in California.
Into his life she brings Trenyce Clark, a physical therapist and single mother to an adorably smart three-year-old little girl, who both inevitably help him recover physically and emotionally. While Vaughn is dealing with despair over his legs and facial injuries and with the uncertainty of his future back in Hollywood, Trenyce must cope with the sudden reappearance of her child’s father, a wealthy white doctor who’d left Trenyce when she became pregnant. He’s now married but can’t sire any more children and wants to fight for custody.
Written in first person narrative, this story also offers a cast of supporting characters that provide insight into the psyches of the hero and heroine. Ms. Brown brings back Hollywood Swinging’s lead characters, Devon and Shontae Burke who are Vaughn’s best friends and sounding boards. Added to the mix are Vaughn’s nurse Edna and his convalescence host and hostess, Craig and Sabrina Weinstein, a Hollywood producer and actress power-couple. Trenyce’s best friend, Penny Murphy, makes several appearances as her shoulder to cry on.
Ms. Brown does a great job of bringing Telluride and the glitz of Los Angeles to life with vivid descriptions of local restaurants, hotels and upscale neighborhoods. These settings are excellent backdrops as Vaughn and Trenyce both come to terms with sacrificing for the sake of love. As they bond, Trenyce drops her guard and Vaughn realizes that the playboy lifestyle has the makings of a lonely future. Editorial issues notwithstanding, this is a sweet love story about real people with real issues.

Ms. Chicki Brown's Ain't Too Proud to Beg was indeed a awesome read and once I picked it up and couldn't put it down until the last word...'to.' Let me start by saying this is my fifth book I have read by the author and it was another excellent read that only Ms.Brown can deliver to her readers.
The story is of Vaughn (V) Breland who was a 'Hollwood Film Star' and had been in a car accident on his way to visit a friend in Colorado.... that made him immobile ...in that he had broken both legs, dislocated a hip and his face was 'jacked up. What would happen for this famous film star? It was only in God's hands who would be able to help V at this time in his life?... At this point V thought of himself as one with no job, no ride, someone else was living in his house and he looked like hell! In Vaugh's life he had always been the center of his world after that time with his Dad.... and definitely now he was a 'star.' It was about all the beautiful women and '_ _ _' had always come first! What was V going to do?
Now Trenyce had her own set of problems in that she was single mom, with a three year old (Zadra) that she was rearing this child all by herself due to the fact that the birth father had not been around since conception. Why was this? TC did have a good job at the Telluride Medical Center as a physical therapist there in Colorado but her plate was loaded however, when asked by Craig who was also to help this patient friend with physical therapy at his vacation house...would she accept the job?
All of the characters in Ain't Too Proud to Beg were simple off the chart excellent....from Vaugh (V) to Chip... plus many ohers that make this such a good read.
I know at this point you the reader of this review is asking: how, who, where and what is all of this novel about? Well, this is where I say you must pick up Ms. Brown newest novel: Ain't To Proud to Beg to find out. I believe you will enjoy this well written read and all of your questions will be more than answered and have you all wondering is this all Ms. Brown? Oh, well I guess we will have to wait to see.
Now, I am sure by now you already know I would definitely recommend Ain't Too Proud to Bed as a excellent read. Aint Too Proud to Beg I really enjoyed Vaughn's and Trenyce's build up to their relationship. They didn't just jump right in. Really enjoyable read. Aint Too Proud to Beg
