I love alphabet books - they are so good at helping young children with learning alphabetical order. This one also helps children learn animal names. Stephen Majsak combines beautiful photographs of animals with short text that can be used to introduce children to animals. Each animal is represented on one page with a photo, their name and a fact about the animal. Some of the animals included will be familiar to children, but most will not. Because the book is in board book format, it is perfect for even the youngest children.
Even though ABC Animals! is in board book format it would still make a good addition to a K-12 Christian library. Alphabet books and animal books are big hits with early elementary students.
