We all know that there were two Henrys, but Suzannah Lipscombe angles her debut at precisely the question when did Henry change? She argues 1536 and writes informally; a style I find very rare and welcoming in popular historical non fiction, yet informatively. Despite Suzannah Lipscomb Only flicked through it so far. Was recently at a lecture that Suzannah gave on this year in Henrys life and I was hooked. I know the book is going to be great when I get to read it very soon. Suzannah Lipscomb This book was great for me, so I gave it five stars BUT unless you are au fait with this era, you may find it heavy going. Having read many books on this period and Henry in particular, I thought it was a good book, but you may find it a little complex if you are not Suzannah Lipscomb

all good thanks Suzannah Lipscomb A beautifully written and rather clever way to show how this one year included so many of the life changing events in the life of king Henry VIII. This one book served to engage my interest in English history and led to my reading dozens including the story of that Suzannah Lipscomb Brilliant! Suzannah Lipscomb By chance I found myself reading this book at exactly the same age as Henry was in 1536. Both born in June. Perhaps in some small way that brought me in a little closer and added to my enjoyment of the experience. This book provides a brilliant insight into a hugely Suzannah Lipscomb Excellent book. I was disappointed to find book was pre owned ( I may not have read details correctly ?). I was lucky to find however, that it was signed by the author Suzannah Lipscomb
